Safeguarding Statement

At C.A.T.S Club, the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where children feel secure, respected, valued, and supported to reach their full potential.

We recognise our responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in our care. We are committed to ensuring that effective safeguarding procedures are in place and that all staff, volunteers, and committee members understand their role in protecting children from harm, abuse, neglect, exploitation, and discrimination.

All members of our team receive appropriate safeguarding training and are subject to robust recruitment and vetting procedures, including enhanced DBS checks. Staff are trained to recognise signs of concern and understand the procedures for reporting and responding to safeguarding issues promptly and appropriately.

C.A.T.S Club works closely with parents, carers, schools, local authorities, and other relevant agencies to promote the safety and wellbeing of children. Where concerns arise regarding a child's welfare, we will act in accordance with our safeguarding policies and statutory guidance to ensure children receive the support and protection they need.

We are committed to creating an environment where children are encouraged to express their views, develop confidence, build positive relationships, and learn how to keep themselves safe both online and offline.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and at C.A.T.S Club we maintain a culture of vigilance, openness, and accountability to ensure that every child can enjoy their time with us in a safe, happy, and nurturing environment.
